​Young athletes seeking college scholarships or competitive athletic careers need to be especially careful to avoid injury. The number one risk factor for musculoskeletal injuries is previous injury and college recruiters know that. The SFMA identifies physical limitations in strength, stability, and mobility. Addressing these limitations is the first essential step in keeping high school athletes injury free. In many instances, an athlete's durability becomes even more important then his/her actual ability. Being injury free allows athletes to spend more time in practice and on the field and less time in recovery.
